One of our programmers, Jana Parker , was sitting in her hairdresser's chair
waiting for her to answer several phone calls to schedule other hair appointments. Jana thought about how much time and money an online appointment scheduling system would save her hairdresser, who is actually her niece, Jennifer Thompson. That same day Jana and Jennifer were at lunch when one of Jennifer's customers saw her and said, "I need to call you to set up a pedicure appointment". Jana and Jennifer realized that if they had the online system at that time up and running, she could just go online to set up the appointment. The system was put in place.

Jennifer has now been managing her business with NeedAHaircut.com for several years. Just a few months after signing up with NeedAHaircut.com and NeedASpa.com, Jennifer and Jana were at lunch and ran into another one of Jennifer's customers. She said, "I need to make an appointment with you. I will just go online and do it." Need A Haircut and Need A Spa allows Salon and Spa professionals the luxury of having more time with their clients and less time on the phone.

I grew up on a farm cropping tobacco and throwing bales of hay. After High School, I joined the Naval Reserve to put myself through College. It took me a lot of years working full time and trying to go to College. But, I finally got my Civil Engineering degree and became a software developer.

I have been a customized database developer for over a decade. My job is to learn as much as I can about someone's business so that I can help them automate their daily task flow. I have had the privilege of working with UNC Radiation Oncology group, NC Environment, Health and Natural Resources, Collection Agencies, Furniture Companies, Salons and Spas and many more. It is my passion to meet people and get them excited about what our computer solutions can do to improve their quality of life. OK, I realize computers are a love/hate relationship. Most people are hesitant of change. Once they see how simple the system is, they can't live without it.

Our design is from a stylist and their clients prospective. We wanted to offer a sophisticated, easy to use system. Affordable for anyone from students to the seasoned professionals.
